Summer Stitching

It’s been sweltering here in Connecticut over the last few days. Not unexpected since it’s July. I don’t know about you, but I love to stitch in season. I rarely get to do it since I’m always stitching something for an upcoming class or a new model for a show so I usually stitch autumn in the Spring or Winter in the Summer.

But I’ve been taking a little time to stitch something for myself, which is rare. So I picked out a new piece from the Cooper Oaks trunk show that I just fell in love with.

I’ve stitched a few Cooper Oaks pieces over the years.

This is one of the first pieces I ever stitched.

This one I branched our with a background stitch for the sky.

I can’t wait to get started on the flowers. There’s gonna be a ton of ribbon so I can make all sorts of pretty flowers.

But, I have to trudge through finishing up the sand first. Good thing I’ve got something good to binge watch.

The Cooper Oaks trunk show is in the shop through Saturday and then it has to head back. So, if you’re looking for a summery piece to stitch, now’s the time! All trunk show canvases are 20% off and if we kit it for you the threads are 10% off.

I just love summer…don’t you?
