It’s no secret that I love Melissa Prince’s designs.  Classic yet stylized, with a modern twist.  Her canvases are a challenge to stitch.  Which if you know me at all, I love a challenge.

Melissa has designed an exclusive canvas, only available through The Enriched Stitch.

I just started stitching it on Friday. There will be a stitch guide and kits available.  I’ll be posting my progress here. So be sure to check back.

It is painted on 13 mesh and measures.8 x 24.  $215 includes the stitch guide.  Threads will be additional. I plan on finishing this piece as a pillow with elegant trim and fabric.  I’m sure this piece will be coming with me on a field trip to the fabric stores in New York City.  M&J Trimmings . ..here I come!

It’s so nice to see when the designers put together a new club.  Needle Deeva has outdone herself with this Hanukkah series.

There are so many amazingly talented women who work at the store. I couldn’t do what I do without them. Mary Susan will be teaching Rebecca Wood’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas canvas on December 6th 10-2.  This piece is truly a family heirloom.

Mary Susan and I met the day the store opened.  She had to check out the new shop in town.  And thoroughly embarrassed her daughter when she said “I can see we’re gonna be great friends one day.”  She was absolutely right.  A few months later, I asked her if she wanted to come play at the store a few days a week.  She was over the moon!

With her impeccable taste and attention to detail, she became the head of our finishing department.  She had this piece finished as a music box.  See why I gave her the position?

As much as I love Halloween, it’s time to say goodbye to our friends for the season.

What a wonderful weekend!  Beautiful weather. Great company.  A good time had by all.

Women traveled from near and as far away as Texas,Chicago and Oklahoma.

The room is beautiful and spacious. And most importantly, well lit.

The food is amazing at the Water’s Edge Resort.

They even made little boat napkins.  My son would have loved that!

Whew!  That was a close one!  I just finished up Winter Farm Fun, our exclusive piece for our 2014 Retreat this coming weekend.

What a quaint New England winter scene.

I used some new fibers on this piece.  The reigns are made of leather.  How cool?

This piece is so delicate, that I didn’t use more than 2 ply of thread anywhere on the canvas.

Now off to finish up the stitch guide.  We have more canvases ordered.  Kits will ship out next week.  Let us know if we can send one your way!

I’ve been a busy little beaver lately.  I have to admit, I haven’t been stitching much lately.  But, I’ve finished two pieces this week!

This was my least favorite canvas of the series.  But, I had a vision.  If you know me at all, you know I LOVE Bargello.

And Painter’s Thread Ribbon Floss.  The most glorious thread!  It does all of the work for you.

I’ve been dying to try my hand at Silk Wrapped Pearl Purl.  It’s SO much easier to use than Memory Thread.  And does SO much more.

Kits will be shipping out soon.  I’m just waiting for a few threads to come in and we’ll get them out as soon as we can.  Off to the framer I go!
