Ten Years Ago Today…

I opened my shop, The Enriched Stitch! It has been a wild ride over the last ten years and I wouldn’t change a minute of it.

I had no idea what I was doing. Sometimes I still feel like I don’t know what I’m doing. LOL! But, with the help and support of my friends and family I made it to where I am today.

Four years ago I started my wholesale design line, Vallerie Needlepoint Gallery. That was an adventure in itself. It was quite a learning curve. I learned to paint and surprised myself that I could actually do it, thanks to my dear friend, Amanda Lawford.

My staff…there are not enough words to describe how fabulous they are. They have seen me through thick and thin, both personally and professionally. They have cheered me on a supported me every step of the way. And they bust their butts to make the shop the success that it is. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

And my dear customers…I wouldn’t be here without you. It has been such a wonderful journey working on needlepoint together. I love seeing your pieces come to life!

I’m sad that I won’t be in the shop today since I’m on my way to Atlanta for market. I really wanted to be there to celebrate with everyone.

Big things are in store for The Enriched Stitch! Stay tuned!
