Skype Virtual Tour

Today I hosted a virtual tour of the shop via Skype to over 20 of students at the Handicraft Club in Providence, Rhode Island.   Caryl Freedman is the needlepoint teacher at this amazing  facility.  She has over 90 students!  Caryl visited the shop a few weeks ago for our Ribbon 101 class, though we have been chatting on the phone for months.  She plans on coming down next weekend to take Aggie’s peacock class.  She participated in the first class via Skype.

Caryl couldn’t have written a nicer email to her students.

“Suzie Valierie, the dynamic young owner of this awesome needlepoint shop, will take us on a tour! The huge inventory of fabulous threads, a selection of canvases that will make you cry, and all the accessories,  OH MY…..it makes my heart beat fast. Suzie and staff are incredibly talented and oh, so creative! The shop is “dedicated to sharing their love and knowledge of needlepoint” – from the shop’s website. The shop is all about educating and enhancing the skills of the needlepoint artisan – from in staff led enrichment classes to visiting National Teachers.”

I showed them the canvas boards and gave them a sampling of the over 75 varieties of threads.  Caryl asked me demonstrate the Needlework System 4 floor stand and explain the benefits of working on stretcher bars and scrolls.

Caryl and I have a shared passion. Not only to stitch, but to teach and spread the creativity, excitement and the relaxation and satisfaction of the therapy of needlepoint.

I’m happy to take you on a tour of the shop any time.  Just give the shop a call and we can set it up.  203-210-5107

I am so fortunate to have found such wonderful customers and other stitchers who are just as passionate about this craft as I am.

Absolutely! That’s what Skype is for. Just email me a picture of the canvas before and I can pull threads for us to discuss.
