Christmas in April?

I stitched up this darling Santa by Susan Roberts around the holidays.  So many people have seen him in the shop and asked me to teach a class on him.  Your wish is my command!

The class will be held on either Friday April 21st 9-2 or Saturday April 22nd 10-3.  You can pick either day to attend the class.  This way you have plenty of time to get him stitched and up on your tree this Christmas.

I wish he photographed better because his coat is exquisite!

You can choose just the front canvas or both.  Up to you.  But I will say that the back was so much fun to do and so much faster than the front.  I was smart this time and stitched the back first because I knew I would never get it done otherwise.

You must sign up or order your kit by February 28th to have your canvas in time for the class.  The reason I say this is that I only order canvases for people who have registered for the class or who have ordered a kit.  The canvases can take up to 8 weeks for me to receive them from the designer.  They don’t just shoot out of a printer!  But more on that on a blog later in the week.

Here’s the nitty gritty on pricing.

Front Canvas: $130

Back Canvas: $123

The thread kit for the front canvas is $255.  But here’s the kicker. . . the additional threads for the back canvas are only $43.

The class fee is $50 and includes lunch.  If you can’t make the class or want to ghost the class, there is no class fee.  The stitch guide is $65.

Unfortunately Santa is not in the store right now.  He has been sent out to the finisher to be made into a tree topper.  I can’t wait to get him back!  I may even do the Nautical Santa like this from Susan Roberts.  That’s if I can sneak him into the stitching lineup.

Give us a call at the shop to sign up!  But like I said . . .you must sign up by February 28th.  I hope you can join me!

The GOAT

I love me some Tom Brady and the Patriots.  I know not all of you were rooting for New England, but I’m a New England girl through and through.

I’m not really a big football fan, but hubby loves the Pats.  I decided to actually watch the game with him last night.  For those of you who live in a hole . . .I’ll fill you in.  It was an AMAZING game!  We were on the edge of our seats.

I will confess that I have a things for Tom Brady.  I mean . . .who wouldn’t?  He’s HOT!

I was inspired this morning to paint a canvas commemorating Superbowl 51.  I thought this could be a great Christmas ornament for hubby this year.  (Always thinking ahead . . .lol!)

If you’re lost (like I was at first last night) . . .it stand for “Greatest of all Time.”  And Tom’s number is featured on it.

It’s 4 inches round on 18 mesh.  We’re taking orders for it now.  The canvas is $45 and we expect to receive them in about 6-8 weeks.  You can call the shop to order or order online.

I might just become a regular Sunday football watcher.  Too bad I have to wait till next season!

Home Sweet Home

I love going to the trade shows.  But I sure am happy to be home.  It was a fun, exciting and exhausting weekend.  Aggie, Nancy and I found so many awesome new canvases.  I don’t know which I’ll stitch first when they start pouring into the shop.

We collaborated with some designers and have some big things planned for this year.  For me, this is the most important reason to go to market.  It’s like a family reunion.  I can view the canvases online, just like all of you, but I go to bring back something to all of you that isn’t out there for everyone.  It’s so important to get to know people, and for them to get to know me.  Having a few cocktails and a great dinner doesn’t hurt either!

I can’t say much about what’s brewing right now.  But what I can tell you is that I put my head together with Ewe & Eye, Maggie, Leigh, Melissa Prince, Alice Peterson, and probably a few others I can’t recall right now.  Jet lag and taking the red eye on Monday night is not a pleasant experience. Tends to make the mind a little fuzzy. LOL!

We brought back some new designs that were available for cash and carry.  I’ll be posting those as soon as unpack and get myself together.

I can’t wait for the next show!

My Favorite Canvas at Market So Far

This might be the winner for me this year of the star of the show.

This advent wreath is designed by Melissa Prince.  This is the most clever way of designing a 12 Days series I’ve ever seen. One finishing . . .but so many finishing options.

It could be a wreath, a pillow, monogram the center or have something like”Joy” or “Noel” painted in the center.  It could be a tree skirt for a table top tree.

It’s 13 inches in diameter and is on 18 mesh.

I can tell you right now that this will DEFINITELY be a stitch along kit available through The Enriched Stitch in July.  I wish I could say it would be sooner.  But, since it is a brand new canvas, I won’t have my copy until the end of March.  And despite how quickly I stitch or that everyone thinks I never sleep (which I do sleep plenty lol) I’m going to give myself a little time to get the guide written and the kits together.

So, if you want to join in the fun, give us a shout and we’ll add you to the list.  The canvas is $185.  I’m not quite sure how I’ll work the stitch guide installments yet.  But I’ll keep you posted.

Wait till you see the beads that I have for the holly berries. To die for!

The other day I showed you some of the new movie coaster canvases from Melissa Prince.  They’re all up on her website.  Aggie had a great name for this collection . . . “Hollywood Squares.”  I think it’s genius!

There’s No Place Like Home

I haven’t posted much about what I’ve been stitching lately.  But here’s a sneak peek of a new design from Alice Peterson.

This piece reminds me of fall in New England.  Which you all know by now that’s where I call home.

There are four designs in this series.  Something for everyone.

Becki is working on the winter home.  We will have stitch guides for all four designs in this series.

Here’s the best part . . .if you order one of these canvases by the last day of the trade show this weekend, Monday January 23rd, you will receive the stitch guide for FREE!

All the designs are on 13 mesh and measure about 16 x 7.  The canvas is $190.

The stitch guides will retail for $40 each.  So, that’s quite a deal!  But like I said, this offer only stands if the order is placed by the end of the day on January 23rd.

Here’s a few more new ones from Alice Peterson.  The stitch guide offer stands for any of these pieces, as well.

I left you hanging . . .

OK.  Here’s the answers to the blog I posted yesterday.

Notting Hill

Mary Poppins

Lion King

Hidden Figures

Christmas Vacation

(Did you notice the cat outline?  Do you get it now?)

Blues Brothers

Any canvas you see featured on this blog will include a FREE stitch guide if ordered by Monday January 23rd.  Yep . . .you heard me right. . .FREE stitch guide.

Here’s one more by Melissa that I just love.

I played the violin for many years growing up.  So this one resonates with me.

There’s been lot’s of new canvases that the designers are leaking.  I’ll be posting more canvases over the next few days.  Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss a beat of what happens at market this weekend.

Name that Movie

C’mon down!  You’re the next contestant on Guess that Movie Coaster!

By now you all know how much I love the movie coaster series from Melisa Prince.  I highly recommend stitching one if you haven’t already.  So much fun and instant gratification.  And if you think that you have no use for a coaster or God forbid someone actually uses the coaster, you can finish them so many different ways.  I’ve done pillows and framing.  A customer of ours is having Charlie and the Chocolate Factory finished as a boxed standup with a music box tucked in the back that plays, “The Candy Man.”

Didn’t Susan do a fabulous job? I love the hair!

So let’s see if you can guess which movies these are. I will admit that I was stumped on a few and had to ask Melissa.

Check back tomorrow for the answers!  There’s more to come.  This is just a sneak peek.  If you want to order any, just give us a shout!
