The coven has been reunited!  Becki stitched this Melissa Shirley series of fairy tale witches.  Just back from an amazing finisher!

She has stitch guides for Helowise, Gunilda and Ingride.  The guides  for Ethelfrith and

Luella are in the works.

Here’s Gunilda and her cauldron.  Becki had the last class pulling their hair out over “ensnared Flair”

Helowise the Peddler was the first in the series that Becki taught.

Luella is definitely my favorite.  Not only the piece and the stitching, but the embellishments on the finishing are unbelievable.

Cheryl (the finisher) made a beaded snake, mimicking the snakes that Becki made by Peyote beading.

It’s taken me a while to get to this blog, but this is a little taste of what we worked on with Susan Portra in the second round of her “Bring Your Canvas to Life” class.

Andrea worked on this classic JP fish. I can’t wait to see the stretched Flair on the tail.

Linda worked on one of my all time favorite pieces.  I love stitching vicariously through someone else.

Kate worked on this beautiful piece.  

Our very own Becki worked on a Janice Gaynor piece.  What to do with all of those curves?  This is probably the only time I will ever hear Becki say “All six strands?”  If you know Becki’s stitching, she uses very little thread.  But, you gotta try different things!

Wanda worked on another of my favorites, the Lani Wine Collage.  It is going to be stunning!  And what a great idea to paint out the word “vineyard” and replace it with her last name.  Love it!

Susan did the coolest thing on this beard.  I have been stumped by this for over 6 months. Now I know!  Twist together 3 strands of Bella Lusso and work in a stem/outline stitch, creating a fake bullion.  Brilliant!

You’re probably wondering what I worked on with  Susan.  That’s another blog.  I worked on 7 or so different pieces with her.  I know. . .I’m nuts!

Mary Susan created this precious family heirloom and had it finished as a music box  It plays “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.”  All she did was order music box movements online and the finisher inserts it into the back.

We do have a stitch guide for this piece, in case anyone is wondering.

I stitched this cute Maggie piece. Guess what song my music box plays?  

We’ve got a stitch guide for this canvas, as well.

Debbie finished her Raymond Crawford canvas that Vicki De Angelis taught when she came to the shop last summer.  Vicki did the guide for this.  Maybe I’ll finish mine one day.

This beauty just came back and I had to squeeze it into this blog.  Mary Susan has been a busy little stitching beaver while she is laid up after ankle surgery.  She stitched this piece with suggestions from Julia Snyder during an embellishment class.  Look what comes from these fabulous classes.  I can’t wait for Julia to come back in September.  If you’ve never taken a class with Julia, you definitely should.  More on that later.
